Dr Marina Vasileva

Dr. Marina Vasileva graduated with a degree in Medicine from Zaporozhye State Medical University (former USSR) in 1995, followed by a Postgraduate degree (MD) for research in Neuropathology in 1997. Subsequently, she moved to Ireland and underwent training in Clinical Medicine.

Dr. Vasileva underwent training in multiple teaching hospital posts across Ireland with substantial experience gained in the fields of Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, Medicine for the Elderly and Nephrology.

Prior to transitioning to General Practice she also completed hospital training in Paediatrics.

During her time in hospital training and while getting established in GP Marina has obtained several additional qualifications highly relevant to Primary Care:

Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (2005), Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners (2014), Diploma in Medicine for the Elderly (2006), Diploma in Childrens Health (2007), Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff-2009).

Marina has worked in a number of GP centres across the South East gaining valuable experiences working with the primary care needs of both urban and rural populations as well as in the area of Medical Dermatology.

She has also worked as an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer for the GEMS programme in University of Limerick ( 2010-2016).

Dr. Vasileva continues to remain interested and update her expertise in Primary Care Medical Dermatology as well as participating actively in GP continued medical education.
