Child Health

All our doctors provide health care for children, and have many years of experience in this very important aspect of general practice. In the Waterford Medical Centre we aim to provide a setting that is friendly and helpful where parents can bring their children for a medical opinion, advice, attentive care, treatment and appropriate and easy access to follow up and review. Children are welcome at all surgeries we aim to make them as relaxed as possible during the consultation. We have a kids area in the waiting room with a range of play-time activities to make their visit a happy experience.

• 2 week postnatal check up
• 6 week developmental check-ups
• Childhood vaccinations
• General health care for children
• Chronic disease management e.g. Asthma management
• Same day emergency clinic for acute illness
